He wants to try and be authoritative - put something collected into the air - but at the same time, he doesn't know how this woman will respond to that. Right now, he's better off not suddenly changing his response to her mid-confrontation.

"Nobody!" James insisted in a panicked tone.

He didn't want to say who he belonged to, not right now. Not when someone might be listening. The last thing he wanted was to get his pack in trouble.

"I'm looking for someone, I thought you were her. I'm sorry."

A grimace of a smile passed his face and his hands rose slightly.

"Could you...put the brick down? Please?"
