For some reason, despite all of the times she's been lied to in the past, Elizabeth feels like she can believe him. Not many people admitted they would kill you if they had to, after all. He's very blunt, and it seems like he doesn't really know what the right thing to say is in most situations. But she didn't mind that because Booker did the same, and she missed him so much.
