4) Speed Dating
[ Avery should have realized that the invitation to speed dating from his grandfather's contacts would have involved the supernatural community. It was a lapse in judgment, but after all, the event was meant to also draw awareness to a cause that Avery couldn't turn down. He needed to meet more of his kind, anyway, right?

Who didn't like the chance for a little romance?

So he went through the whole process, a name tag written in with his clear hand stuck to the front of his fitted, long-sleeved shirt - "Avery," crisp and clean. For the sake of charity, he let himself be open to all possibilities, but he wasn't really too keen on getting more involved with anyone other than a woman. Predilections - everyone had them.

He really just hoped he didn't end up making a comment about the scents assaulting his nose - so many things that weren't your baseline human (though there were a few of those). Avery was keen on chatting up just about everyone.

6) In the Supermarket
[ London wasn't entirely strange to Avery - having spent eighteen summers there in his youth, he knew some of the longer-lived places. He was entirely content to learn that the farmer's market his grandmother had taken him to for sweets was still around.

This time, though, he was shopping for supplies to stock the fridge in his new apartment. Stagholm may have been the family seat, but he wasn't planning on living out there. London was to be the heart of his life for a time, and he'd need to settle in appropriately. Everything as fresh and whole as possible, just some of the principles Avery took away from his education, and this market had a lot of strong, earthy smells to satisfy them. He was wandering the stalls with a large wicker basket in his hand, stocking it with supplies as he went along, making lists of sellers he'd eventually have to contact to set up delivery agreements with.

Eventually, Avery stumbled upon some of the sweet-sellers- pastries, candies, all handmade, and decided to give in to old habits. He'd probably have to run around the entire city to burn off what he was buying today.

7) A Cursed Existence
[ Someone must have been playing a joke on him. Avery hadn't been in London long enough to earn the enmity of anyone. Certainly not enough enmity to be cursed into his tiger form without the ability to change back.

This was bad news - people generally didn't take kindly to big cats running on the loose in major cities, but Avery knew how to keep a level head. He stayed to the shadows and hid as best he could when someone started drawing near. He could make his way up fire escapes and leap across rooftops, but eventually he'd have to go street level. At least in the night people could think their eyes were playing tricks on them. Avery made no sound like a true tiger might. He needed someone who could break this curse, however it had been placed on him.

Just his like to end up like his ancestress.
