To be fair, she did spend the majority of her time in Other Realm at Jor-El’s sanctum, which wasn’t exactly teeming with a diverse population. And educating her about the various denizens of Faery outside his coterie wasn’t exactly a priority while he altered her body and brainwashed her mind to become the perfect welcome wagon for his changeling son.
However, he did make sure she was well-versed in the supernatural politics of the Mortal Realm, and what she was taught about that took a very particular slant.
“Many here wouldn’t make that distinction. They’d argue we’re all monsters, all very bad things.” By “we” she means herself and her fellow fae. Of course, she’s not a fae but don’t bother trying to tell her that.
