"And that's your folly. You should be afraid of me." Joscelin gives her one of his most winning, angelic smiles. "I am so very much older than you are, my dear."

He doesn't know for certain, but it's probably a good bet. Unless she's truly ancient, in which case he'll have to think of some other way to make good on his threats.

He pulls a face. "Hardly. But, yes, I do enjoy rubbing it in when I'm right." He's started walking back towards the main road, away from the girl's intended victims. If she follows him, he'll get her to Jean-Claude. If not, she's welcome to celebrate Christmas in whatever manner she sees fit. It really isn't any skin off his back.

"Like I said, I'm not one for rules or those who make them. I'm merely the messenger. If you want to live to see the New Year, you'll take my advice and leave well enough alone."
