"Perhaps not where you're from," Evie says, keeping a hand on the younger-looking woman, though she begins to steer her towards a vampire-friendly bar she knew of.

"But here in London, things are different. We have rules, and there are those that freely open their veins to us. There are those that charge as well, we only ask that they be willing. If you don't obey, we can't stop anyone from hunting you." Simple enough, she figured she would be able to understand.
