In all likeliness, Beatrice thought, she was still being followed. The vampire had been too pale, too long from their last meal. With this in mind, she was being careful, changing her path to make it long and meandering. Not the best option, she was well aware, but until she could be sure that the pest had left her be, she would continue to do it.
