She shuffles into line after him, staring at the display boards behind the counter. Half her attention still somewhere across the ocean, on the situation she left and how to bring it up now. It takes her a moment to react to his annoyance, a smile slow to bloom over her face. It drops far quicker. Her expression gets caught between trying to look contrite, he's older and she doesn't know what he'll do if she's really pissed him off, and annoyed herself, adults always think they can get away saying what they wanted to her.
