Sorry - I've had the flu!

Eponine shrugs. She doesn't seem at all perturbed by the idea of things killing people. "Well, it is that someone or that has to do the killing, isn't it? It is wrong, yes, but it is life. The stupid die and the rest of us are the more stupid for staying alive."

She reaches over to Waldo's body. It doesn't bother her in the slightest to root through the dead man's pockets. Any coins she finds, she pockets without a trace of guilt. She spends longer than necessary to find the paper, essentially robbing Waldo whilst he waits, but eventually, she produces the paper.

"I teach myself to write, in French and English. Well, no, my Mama taught me letters a long time ago, to read and form them a bit, and even when I lived beneath the bridge and prison and that, I kept my letters up. I had a stick, you know, and I would write it in the snow or the mud or however I had when I didn't have paper. I can write... but sometimes, it takes me a while."

Her cheeks colour. "The other vampires here, lots of 'em, they have schooling and that. Me, I am clever, but I don't do learning like they do. Well, not the vampires I am with, but you don't want to know them. They ain't for gentlemen, Sir."

She pulls out the phone she'd stolen from the fae she'd attacked a few days previous. It's a rose gold iPhone, and, unfortunately for Eponine, completely locked.

"I ain't never had a phone. But I know them. I would have no one to phone, Sir. It is better the money than the mobile for me.I think this one breaks, but I don't know."
