Potential CR Planning

Are you thinking about joining the game? Then you've found the right place! This post is for all prospective players to discuss their characters' AU backgrounds with canonmates and other characters, and to establish pre-existing CR (character relations). The aim is to help you figure out what to write in the background section of your application and to give you a starting point for building CR when you join the game.

You can use this post to:

• Share your ideas on how you'd like to adapt your character's background to the game.
• Ask questions and request feedback on your AU plans.
• Discuss potential shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.

Please note that nothing discussed here is guaranteed, since not all prospective players will submit an app or be accepted into the game, while others will app without having commented to this post. After the next round of applications have been processed, there will be a follow-up CR planning post for accepted players to confirm initial plans, make changes, and look for new CR.

This post is intended to be an open discussion between current and prospective players, but I'm happy to answer any mod questions you might have too. Happy planning!

HANNA TALBOT

This here is a pyromancer OC who comes from a craphole world that's basically Spartacus/The Hunger Games/Alphas everything is truly awful. Generally she's pretty upbeat but from this particular canon point she's a lot less about what's right and what's better for survival and thriving. She's big into music and plays the drums because once upon a time she was going to be a music producer but that all fell apart. By now, she's a mercenary and well-trained but still stands more as an advanced level instead of expert level.

AU her would follow a lot of the same thing in which she lived most of her life hiding her powers, was found to have powers then got kicked out of her home and was on the run for most of her life. She bounced around quite a bit in the US until she was recruited into an experimental army of metahumans. When that fell apart, she was recruited into Ouranos, a private military contractor that aimed to do the same thing, except make a lot of money out of offering contracts. She was trained up into plenty of special ops routines and took on many missions. Unfortunately, she made too many enemies as a mercenary and rumors were spreading of a girl who wielded fire. She left the company and went completely off the grid. Now she's a mercenary for the supernatural types in London, taking on hunting jobs from humans or other supernatural types who don't want to get their hands too dirty. She doesn't mind.

GEORGINA MENDEZ

A mute freedom-fighter OC who is terminally cheerful and a hell of a shot. I haven't worked out a lot for her yet as she's mostly new but she's less ambiguous about morality than Hanna up there.

As a child, she grew up with normal parents who were aware of the supernatural in Miami. She learned the ways of the hunter very young, but as luck would have it, her parents made the terrible accident of pissing off a fae. Her home was torched on a whim, and as a planned survivor of the incident, she was cursed into silence for the rest of her life. Determined to push forward, she studied whatever she could salvage on her own while at an orphanage and taught herself some bits of ASL initially before being properly taught. Georgina's adapted into learning how to communicate with people who don't know ASL by means of her cell phone or body language. Once she was old enough, she bought herself a ticket and took whatever little she had to London. Hunters, it seemed, had a place in some shadowy part of London. Apart from a mute, she has no particular powers to speak of except her skills and her wits. She would ally herself with the Hillingdon Clan, looking to burst through the corrupt. Georgina, by now, has no intention of exacting revenge on the fae for what happened in her past, mostly because that would be incredibly stupid and she likes being alive. She is, though, a huge proponent of freedom and equality so she would pretty much have no problem going after things that would endanger either one or who are putting innocents in danger.

DANTE

Look at this a canon character. This is Dante from DmC: Devil May Cry and he's basically nonhuman garbage look at him he literally lived in a trailer that got ransacked everything is pain. He's a huge shit, pretty much a hedonist and an anarchist. He fights for the little guy that can't defend themselves. As much of a dick he is, Dante does actually have a heart of gold, you just gotta push past all the dirt and trash. Originally, Dante is a nephilim, meaning half angel, half demon in canon, but let's see what I can work with here?

Dante was born with an identical twin named Vergil to Sparda, a fae who was mistaken for a demon, and Eva, an altogether different type of fae who appeared almost more angelic in nature. The two were powerful, powerful enough to make an incredibly long list of enemies because they tried to leave their respective courts and live in peace with their sons. As a final act of safety, Eva sacrificed herself to save her sons while Sparda magically induced the boys into amnesia and separated them. Dante grew up bouncing from orphanage to orphanage, constantly mistreated and picked on. Many of his human overseers tried to sedate him and put him in mental hospitals, unaware that Dante was actually a fae who could see the reality of the world. At the tender age of twelve, he killed his first "demon" with a sword that Sparda left for him. His entire life after that has been a wild ride of sex, partying, drugs, drinking and hunting what he didn't understand. Only recently did he find out about a supernatural realm. His brother Vergil convinced him to become a hunter to stop the creatures that kept attacking humans and to exact revenge on those who killed their parents.

NASIR AL-FAYED

Another OC this time of the werewolf variety. He doesn't have a lot yet? But Nasir is a REALLY SHARP GUY he's super into technology and history. He's very intelligent and honestly kind of a nerd. Nasir is open-minded and has a really strong sense of morality. Nasir has the problem of doing too many things at once, though. He's that kind of person. He actually really loves to get involved with the politics of other races mostly because he likes to learn a lot about others and seeing how to make things work better between the clans and the races. Other than that super open to anything ever? I can adapt him however because he's another new guy.
