Welcome to the Underground test drive meme! This is where you can try out the AU version of your character, start some potential CR and get a feel for the world of the game. Choose your character's species, read up on the available factions and you're ready to go. Put your character's name in your subject line when you post, tag out, and have fun!

Here are some prompts to inspire you:

1) BABY COME BACK. Is there someone you miss? Maybe you've come to visit for the first time in months. Maybe you'll even stay.

2) FULL MOON. (29th August) Uh oh, it's that time of the month. Werewolves, have you been feeling more aggressive lately? A little short of temper? Better start preparing for your monthly transformation and hope that you don't get interrupted. And then there's the morning after, which feels like a massive hangover. Wait, where are your clothes?

3) CARNIVAL. (30th-31st August) It's the August bank holiday weekend and that can only mean one thing: the Notting Hill Carnival! With the sun high in the sky, enjoy the parade, the music and of course the food. Jerk chicken, anyone?

4) SPECIAL EFFECTS. There's nothing like a touch of subtle magic to add to the occasion. Dress up and show off. Mind you, there could be other supernatural types around who see straight through your tricks.

5) PARTY ALL NIGHT. It's not over when the sun goes down. Get yourself to one of the bars or after-parties and keep on partying. Just don't drink too much. You know it makes it harder to control your powers... and your urges.

6) BRAWL. The police work hard to keep London's gangs away from Carnival. When you have supernatural gangs to contend with, their job gets a whole lot harder. Drunk and disorderly or simply looking for an excuse to cause trouble, encounters between rival factions can soon become hostile. Now are you here to cause a fight or to stop it?

7) NIGHT IN JAIL. Oops. What did you do? And who's that with you?

8) CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE. Anything goes.

He sighed, part relieved and part disheartened. Was he ever in anyone's thoughts anymore? He seemed to be forgotten. Maybe that was for the best.

"Yeah, it's... leafy." Despite their Uncle's enthusiasm for tea, Zuko never saw the hype and failed to appreciate it most days.

"You can't just be here for tea. How are you 'experiencing culture'?"

"The festivals Western Europe has, the integration of the supernatural communities here, and the way the courts work here."

She clicked her tongue slightly and shook her head. It was idiotic in a way, how simplistic they viewed things.

"Order and chaos, here. Ultimately. 'Seelie' and 'Unseelie.' But I suppose you know that."

Even away from the fae courts, he must know those things. She doubted he'd gotten himself back into the courts since she hadn't seen him since she'd arrived, but it was still possible.

He knew. He made sure to know roughly who was who when he wound up here, but without his powers to open doors, he'd never been able to investigate in much detail. He avoided Fae, equally ashamed and afraid of what they could do to him in such a vulnerable state. He sighed, who knows how Azula would land in "order" or "chaos".

"So, where are you in all of this? Unseelie?" He hazard a guess.

"Seelie, actually."

Though she doesn't sound offended. It was a fine line between the two, and it wasn't something she saw in the Dragon Court. She wanted to change the court, yes, but she would act within its structure.

"It's certainly been... interesting."

"Oh, that's... nice." Does that sound like jealousy? That's jealousy. It should be his place too. But he was stupid enough to go and get himself literally and metaphorically burned. It hurt in two very different ways.

"And your here to take over." Zuko just cut to the heart of it, feeling in his gut that his sister wouldn't stand by idle. If she was just as proud and as deadly as he remembered then it would not surprise him.

Then, Azula smiled.

It was a simple, predatory smile. There was no room for her in the Dragon Court, not really. Their father was nowhere near his decline, even if she had learned from him that the king could be taken out. She couldn't make that move against him yet, as he'd done to his own father.

"I certainly have ideas about that."

And a scheme already in the motion, but he hadn't specifically asked about that.

Zuko groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He could just imagine the planning and the power games, games he was never good at playing, surrounding what a grab for power could mean. He'd ask the specifics but he was sure most of it would go over his head. He was too out of the loop for it to mean anything.

"So you're going to take over the court here, and then what?"

Present it to father? Take it all for herself? Zuko wondered what kind of chaos would ensue if Azula was in power. Would she be a good leader? He had no idea.

Azula actually seemed to consider that question for a moment. Honestly, she looked almost contemplative as she rested her chin on her hand for a moment, staring out the window. Her lips pressed together into a thin line.

This might be useful, actually. Her poor, shunned brother...

But would his loyalties lay with their father? Would he see an opportunity to regain what was his? Or would he choose her? Would he recognize an opportunity to make something new? Or would he simply be apart? Would he accept the distance between the worlds?

"Keep it for as long as I can. If anyone wants to take it from me, they can try."

Even Father, was left unsaid.
