Potential CR Planning

Hello! This post is for all prospective players to discuss their characters' AU backgrounds with canonmates and other characters, and to establish pre-existing CR (character relations). The aim is to help you figure out what to write in the background section of your application and to give you a starting point for building CR when you join the game.

You can use this post to:

• Share your ideas on how you'd like to adapt your character's background to the game.
• Ask questions and request feedback on your AU plans.
• Discuss potential shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.

Please note that nothing discussed here is guaranteed, since not all prospective players will submit an app or be accepted into the game, while others will app without having commented to this post. After the first application round, there will be a follow-up CR planning post for accepted players to confirm initial plans, make changes, and look for new CR.

It's definitely up there in my favourites, I honestly read it over and over.

Yeah, but in terms of being future cr, that sounds like a lot of fun. The fact that he's posing as a meta-human strikes me! I'm angling to get Jack in as a senior clan member or a clan leader, so it's possible if Aziraphale was acting as meta-human during those years, Jack may have stood up for him? Seeing as meta-humans sure aren't the problem round these parts.

Aziraphale may have! Problem is Aziraphale could only pose as a human until midnight, when his illusions would break and he couldn't cast them again til sunrise. Those deadly five to seven hours would have made him a solid target for vampires and fae haters/hunters.

It's up to you if Jack was friends or foes with him during that time, if they'd met before!

OKAY I've been thinking and writing Jack's history and such and I have two options for ya, lemme know which one sounds better.

One is that Jack is making technology to help locate other supernaturals, which may come in handy as being an outreach person, so they could interact that way and it could just be tenuous and we can run into fae trouble later OR

Another would be that they ran into each other while it was obvious Aziraphale was fae, and though he got away from the Hillingdon when Jack scars up his face, maybe he blackmailed Aziraphale to cast longer lasting illusions in order to hide the scar?

I'm thinking about it pretty intensely, I love the blackmail idea though the problem is that Aziraphale's illusions probably wouldn't be too helpful because they're dispelled when midnight rolls around and so would need to be redone daily. His powers are sadly quite limited now that he's an outcast >8Ia The other problem would be having to go editing my background which is literally exactly at 500 words as it stands right now haha.

Aziraphale isn't an Outreach Program member himself, he's just well acquainted with them and involved in a political sense in that he has connections and some minor influence because of these acquaintances. He would have heard of Jack, maybe, but he wouldn't have attended any meetings.

SO HM, if there's any reason that Jack would have tried to blackmail him into helping him back in the day while Jack was a member of Hillingdon AND Aziraphale was on the streets, we could have that? Perhaps some minor thing where Jack caught him off the street and forced him to do something for him? This could give them the beginnings of a rather nasty relationship later down the line.

Ugh dude I feel that, I've got 499 words. This was a struggle!! Usually you have to be so long winded it was an interesting exercise to cut down.

Oh. Oh no. I've got it. How does Aziraphale feel about human testing? c: How would he feel about helping/advising Jack on early experiments on increasing fae power, either on himself or Angel....?
