Potential CR Planning

Hello! This post is for all prospective players to discuss their characters' AU backgrounds with canonmates and other characters, and to establish pre-existing CR (character relations). The aim is to help you figure out what to write in the background section of your application and to give you a starting point for building CR when you join the game.

You can use this post to:

• Share your ideas on how you'd like to adapt your character's background to the game.
• Ask questions and request feedback on your AU plans.
• Discuss potential shared history with canonmates and build in cross-canon CR.

Please note that nothing discussed here is guaranteed, since not all prospective players will submit an app or be accepted into the game, while others will app without having commented to this post. After the first application round, there will be a follow-up CR planning post for accepted players to confirm initial plans, make changes, and look for new CR.

The coffee shop is always going to welcome her with open arms yes. \ o /

Oh no on Clara's side. She'll be very worried and do her best to keep her interested in learning the ghostly things she's learned while she can. Clara herself only has one technical anchor left, her granddaughter, and is trying to make the most of it while she can. She'll do her best to pass the knowledge to Aradia and keep her safe at the same time. No attempts to get Ghostbusted on Clara's watch.

They can also totally do things that Aradia wants to do. She's always open to new things because ghosts do have to keep themselves busy. :|a

They're shaping up to be really cute c: I love the mentor-y dynamic.

Also it just occurred to me that they probably had a passing acquaintance when Aradia was alive too, given she's... probably going to've been a medium? She liked keeping in contact with ghosts around the place. \o/

Oh gosh! That could be a possibility of them for sure. Clara is known to haunt her coffee shop, enough that there is an occasional ghostbuster-to be crashing there once and a while, and she wanders beyond that now and then. I can see them coming across each other, known the other is friendly and be nice...

... and Clara being utterly heartbroken when she sees Aradia again only in ghost form. It definitely would have spurred her into being a mentor and friend much faster. If that's okay with you!

It's perfectly okay with me! Aradia might've helped diffuse an exorcism once or twice, too - she did want ghosts to move on as a medium, but generally by helping them deal with their problems. If the ghost didn't wanna go, she ain't gonna make them go. Of course she was also 16 when she died, so no guarantees the exorcist would listen to her lmao

Clara would have been so grateful that Aradia tried. I bet it would have given her enough time to escape the person's clutches or find a way out of there. After that go out of her way to look for Aradia, thank her, and spend time with her to make it extra tragic.

I'm excited for this dynamic in the game I really am yipeeee.

Also ouch at them spending more time together when she's alive. The initial personality shift for ghost!Aradia is so stark that it's probably painful to watch for people who knew her. Poor Clara ;;
